"This Is It," the documentary that follows pop star Michael Jackson in the months before his death, will have a global launch in 25 cities on October 27-28, according to the film’s distributor. Are you planning to watch the Michael Jackson documentary? Tell us what you think about the movie in the comments below.

A 6 p.m. PT event in Los Angeles on October 27 will launch premieres of “This Is It” worldwide. Simultaneous debuts will be staged in 15 cities, including London, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Berlin, Johannesburg and Seoul, Sony Pictures said.

The documentary chronicles Jackson’s rehearsals for concerts that were scheduled to have taken place this past summer at London’s O2 Arena.

Directed by Jackson’s choreographer and creative director Kenny Ortega, the film draws on more than 100 hours of footage shot between March and June.

The public will be able to view the film, which will have a two-week run in theaters, three hours after the red-carpet premieres. Tickets go on sale September 27.

Looking forward to seeing Michael's last performance. This will be the last chance to get to see an American Icon perform his fabulous moves. I watched the short clip of Michael's rehearsal. Sounds as good as he's always been. His children and family will be proud. How sad.

Trenton D.   September 22nd, 2009 1648 GMT

I cannot wait to see this film. Michael has been an inspiration to me, my entire life. We will never see another person as caring, talented and energetic as this man was. I think this film will definitely be an eye opener for the people who have doubted Michael. Long live the King of Pop!

Patty   September 22nd, 2009 1655 GMT

Yes, I know many people who plan to see it. It will be a great opportunity for the fans and the world to see the master at work. To experience his genius. The world lost a great artist and humanitarian on June 25th. There will never be another like him. Many of us are still mourning his loss. His art and his good works will live on forever. I hope and pray the media will start to tell the truth about the man and all the goodness of his spirit, soul and deeds. All he did for the children of the world, , the sick, & dying children and african american education, etc. etc. Not one news outlet spent one minute bringing light to those works. Instead the media focused on lies and false allegations from the past that had no foundation or truths to them. Why doesn't CNN do a special on his good works??? talk to all the children who's lives he helped save by paying for treatments and transplants, etc, all the hospitals around the world he donated money and equipment, beds, medicine, countless lives he helped and touched. The selfless hours he spent visiting the sick and dying children to sit with them and hold and comfort them. . It is terribly sad that the most trusted and respected news agency in the world has not told the whole story and the whole truth about this man.

Vittoria Carone (ITALY)   September 22nd, 2009 1705 GMT

I cannot wait see "This is it" because i love Michael so much, he is my life, he will be in my heart for ever and i ask respect for him, for the incredible artist and wonderful man.
Viva Michael! Per sempre...tua fan.

N. T   September 22nd, 2009 1708 GMT

I will not be watching this, as his death is still makes me sad, and watching it will bring back memories of the show that never was . He is too alive in the clips , that it will be hard to believe that he is actually gone for ever.

Valerie Cenci   September 22nd, 2009 1709 GMT

I wish that Montreal would of been one of the cities that would premier the film. What an honour that would be. The world will finally get to see what a genius this man was. I wish that Michael was here to see how much he was loved. People that doubted him and critized him are now fans and admirers of Michael. I loved him since I first saw him with the Jackson Five and have always been a loyal fan. Love you always Michael.

Mary Osborne   September 22nd, 2009 1709 GMT

I cannot wait to see the film. I cannot get enough of him. I read and watch everything I can get my hands on about him. I only wish I had been able to see him in concert, but I was never able to. I loved every song he ever did and there will NEVER be another star like him. He will live forever in our hearts!

JANET MURPHY   September 22nd, 2009 1712 GMT

T Mhasvi   September 22nd, 2009 1720 GMT

Oh Michael Jackson, Our King of Pop, I still hurt so bad. I still cant believe that you are gone. Your spiritual connection with God touched my heart. You loved God so much and in everything you did, you gave credit to Him. I have no doubt that you are laying there on God's lap. I adore your love of God. Michael, you were so special to this world. You worked very hard in bringing people together. You broke the barriers of race, religions and all isms. You truly loved children and you were penalized for it and terribly misunderstood. Anyway, your legacy will live forever. I look forward to watching the upcoming movie about you. Michael, people never noticed that inside you, layed an angel of God. Your life is a living testimony in itself of God’s love and how much He truly loved and will continue to love you forever. May you RIP Always Loved.

So Tired of All This   September 22nd, 2009 1730 GMT

Let the guy rest in peace...this is just another way for his family to take advantage of the situation for their financial gain. If you really enjoyed his work and admired his talent; respect him now that he is gone and stop this nonsense.

LINDA WASHINGTON   September 22nd, 2009 1733 GMT

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH LINDA WASHINGTON HE WII LIVE FOREVER IN MY HEART MICHAEL REST IN PEACE

Beenish Khokhar   September 22nd, 2009 1733 GMT

PLEASE DO READ IT!!!!!!!
I didn't know him before and heard his very first song at the day of his death on CNN. After that I collected all of his collection till now and I searched for him not as an entertainer but as a human being. Every site related to him, every UTube video, every article. I have scanned his whole life in 3 months, because I was not ready to beleive that a person who loves music and has voice like angels can harm a child..... Because music teaches us to be pure, to love and to be happy.
And I got the truth, I found no other person as caring and as loving to children as Michael is.
What not he has done for kids. Spent billion of dollars on cancer patients, opened NeverLand and theme Park which was free to every kid but costing him million of dollars to him monthly. And above all 36 charities which is a record in Guiness Book, more than any artist ever.
He was as good as an angel, as famous as no one has ever before, had talent never to be seen, and got money not to be counted....
The media and the people who were jealous of his popularity took advantage of him. And as he opened on media all the works he was doing for kids, all people know what he is doing and he has kids everywhere on ranch. They played all this drama against him. And Jordan Chandler confessed in front of media after his death that he and his father wanted to be rich so they have played all the drama and ruined Michael's life. And after 10 years, Gavin Arvizo scheme, just after that documentry in which Michael has innocently said he allows Gavin to come in his room and have his bed while he slept on floor. And that Pakistani backstabber Martin Bashir took advantage of every statement which Mike was saying and the truth.Remember there were thousands of kids coming to Ranch and only two claim that they are so called sexually molested and after period of 10 years. A pedophile dont wait for 10 years to act on a kid.. All were lies and I am 150% sure.
The people were after him from the very beginning far before than 1993, but all were lies, rumors and backbitting just to make an innocent and caring soul to be so much dipressed that it suffered eventually from Chronic Insomnia. But he has forgiven all those people even his father which has abused him, as he said on his interview...
Now they will not find that human being again not even like that.
I am not saying all this cz I am MJ fan. I have even heard his 1st song after his death. But I searched for truth and found it, above all I love and respect Michael as a greatest and true human being and than anything else. He is my father and brother of my own world cz he has perfection in each and every relation he fulfilled weather it was a son, father or a brother.
He will never die, and Martin Bashir only told a lie once to the world. I will show this truth every time i will get a chance, till I live. Cz i never have seen a person as soft, loving , sensitive caring and pure as Michael was. U will never die Michael.. Live Long...

Please feel free to talk to me and share his memories.

wan   September 22nd, 2009 1741 GMT

I have been so moved by Michael's passing and am still in shock. But, to paraphrase Madonna, sometime's you have to loose something, or in this case, loose someone, to realize how valued they were. I am over 50 and intend to go to see this movie just as excited as I was over 40 years ago, when I first saw the Jackson 5. May the memories and the KING live on in our hearts forever..........and may GOD bless his beautiful children and family members.

Caroline   September 22nd, 2009 1742 GMT

I am counting the days until this movie comes out. It's hard to accept that Michael Jackson is no longer with us but his spirit and music will forever live in my heart. There will never be another one like him.Long live the King Of Pop.

christine   September 22nd, 2009 1743 GMT

If it was guaranteed that MJ's kids would get all the $$, then I would go. But otherwise, I'll just wait til it comes on VH1.

happyness   September 22nd, 2009 1743 GMT

I will try hard to watch this documentary because this is his last suppose to bring him back where he should be and treated as anybody else as a human being. People are very judgemental. But there's nobody else can do what he had done even the well known rich people. Of course Bill Gates is also an exception because he too cares for humanity. But if people were just sensible enough to understand each other's weaknesses, there would be harmony and love just what MJ wanted to have to all races. He is for peace, harmony, love, and respect to one another.

Danna Netherland   September 22nd, 2009 1751 GMT

I am looking forward to the This Is It documentary. I still grieve for Michael. I wish his life could have been somewhat different. Less loneliness and without insomnia. I love you, Michael. My heart goes out to your children and family.

J. See   September 22nd, 2009 1753 GMT

Shameless exploitation by people looking to recoup $$$ via fans sadness.

Richard A.   September 22nd, 2009 1804 GMT

I already have plans of going to see this movie at least 3 times, I am sure it will be a great movie. Based on the previews this movie looks amazing, Michael Jackson did such an incredible job.

I can't believe that I will never get the privilege to ever see Michael perform live, I was hoping that after London he would perform in Chicago. Now that Michael is gone, David Bowie takes the place for the greatest singer alive, it's sad that we have no real talent left in this world anymore.

Kermit Fox   September 22nd, 2009 1812 GMT

Michael was one of those rare super talented individuals. He always
entertained us! It will be a long time before we see such mega talent again! Michael will entertain us for years to come. We will never tire
of watching Michael's performances!

JP   September 22nd, 2009 1818 GMT

It is so sad that MJ could not get all this love while he was alive. Know that you are truly loved MJ and missed even more. Long live the KING!!

Steve D.   September 22nd, 2009 1819 GMT

Are you kidding, the guy was a drug freak who couldn't handle
the Realities of everyday life. I'll be @ Dumont Dunes in my Sand
Rail taking in the creation of God & listening to Real Music "THE BLUES" Guys like Buddy Guy, Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, Kim
Wilson, James Harmon, Rod Piazza, Little Walter Horton, and
all the great HARP players.

Velazquez M.   September 22nd, 2009 1821 GMT

I cannot wait to see the documentary. I had my doubts about the tour, but after his death I realized what we lost. It is too bad he did not get the chance to perform life again. Long live the king!

Reebeekaa   September 22nd, 2009 1823 GMT

I love you Michael!

I have always been behind you and I WILL be there to see the final moments your beautiful soul graced this earth.

Rest in peace my brother!

Beth   September 22nd, 2009 1834 GMT

Michael was a very talented man, drug addict by the hands of medical professionals. It sickens me & I will NOT watch him self-destruct on screen...Shame on you!

cinzia   September 22nd, 2009 1841 GMT

I hope to be able to buy the ticket. 2 weeks are enough to meet all the fans of the world? A DVD will be release after?

I am very excited to see this film. He was and always will be THE KING OF POP !!!

Scott S.   September 22nd, 2009 1852 GMT

This will be fascinating to see and a worldwide spectacle, to be sure. The man was a great performer, despite all his faults.

Oh yeah, just wondering if I'm the only one who was a bit confused by the term "Jackson doc". I thought it had to do with Conrad Murray! Didn't understand how he could get a global roll out!

nina   September 22nd, 2009 1853 GMT

there's not enough money in the world to make me want to see a documentary about a man who stole the childhood from many children and bought his way out of it.

Thomas   September 22nd, 2009 1854 GMT

It is great to finally get a look behind the scenes to see how Michael prepared himself for his performances. To see his professionalism, his eye for detail and his compassion for the people working with him.

JANET   September 22nd, 2009 1900 GMT

LONG LIVE THE KING OF POP

Raja Adnan   September 22nd, 2009 1901 GMT

I happy to hear about the release of this movie....its a must watch..LOVE YOU MICHAEL....

Regis S.   September 22nd, 2009 1902 GMT

Will most likely be a tear-jerker for me when I see it. Music Icon, Humanitarian, and Loving father. There are few people that can be compared to this legend, confirming that he is truly original in every facet.

-LONG LIVE THE KING OF POP!

Naz   September 22nd, 2009 1905 GMT

I will be the first one to get my ticket . I would like to see it few times if I be able to get tickets.

Unforgettable Michael Jackson, music and his lyric will live on forever.
We cannot question God why.I was very much inspired by this man music.I still can't believe it and it is sad for me till now.

May his soul rest in peace and long live the king of pop.

leisa   September 22nd, 2009 1917 GMT

I cannot wait to see this documentary it will be like the concert we did not get to see live. Michael has touched so many lives like he did mines. You will forever live Michael–You rock!!

Willhe 1.   September 22nd, 2009 1919 GMT

I am happy that his children will finally get to see what their father could really do. They will see how he amazed millions of people.

Whodyalove   September 22nd, 2009 1926 GMT

I will certainly see this film on opening day. I loved Michael and closure of death is no closer than any foreseeable tomorrow's to come. The loss of Michael is overwhelming on so many levels and greiving is a process that I expect will take some time. I'm in no rush. I continue to actively monitor the circumstances surrounding his death as a part of my daily routine and infuse each day with his wonderful music. The loss of Michael is like the loss of my own mother, unfathomable and beyond words...I just can't believe it....worse, I can't let go. Maybe I'm not supposed to.

May God bless and keep you Michael.

Michael   September 22nd, 2009 1928 GMT

I am very excited about this film. This will prove that he is and will always be the KING OF POP!! THIS IS IT..Will be the greatest show that was never to be seen. I know I will be first in line to see this amazing work.

gloria   September 22nd, 2009 1929 GMT

We always save the best for last ! This will be his best !up to his high standards. I will be his fan for life not only for his talent but because of his loving spirit and giving back to the world the unconditional love. I wish he know how many people loved him, what we see now, the man that only wanted to give the childhood he never had to as many children that he could. He was a star who made the words true ( love is what love gives from the heart). That's why he will always have a place in my heart. My love to the family ,may god give you the strength to endure the days to come.RIP MJ I love you for the one of a kind person you will be to me a giver of you heart.

Julie   September 22nd, 2009 1930 GMT

would love to see this movie but not sure if it will come anywhere close to my area. Michael was a great entertainer and seemed like a really nice guy. I am the same age and when I here him interviewed he sounds like someone I went to school with. Hope they put this on Dvd so we can purchase it! diehard fan forever

Judy Florescu   September 22nd, 2009 1931 GMT

I can't believe I will be able to watch this amazing documentary in Romania, Southern Europe. Michael remains a timeless icon, because he will forever be a source of inspiration for generations and generations. i just don't get it why precious people like him or Elvis or Judy Garland have to go away so unexpected because of drugs,,,

robert bud   September 22nd, 2009 1937 GMT

Michael Jackson will always be with us.>

MJ Fan   September 22nd, 2009 1940 GMT

I worry I will not be able to get the tickets =(

TM   September 22nd, 2009 1947 GMT

My husband and I are counting down the days til this movie comes out! We grew up watching Michael and having been celebrating his life all summer dancing and singing to his music. Our son, who is 2, loves to moonwalk :) I'm sure it will be a fitting tribute to the best entertainer to ever walked this earth!

Katy Mc.   September 22nd, 2009 1954 GMT

Absolutely! It will be bitter sweet but I wouldn't miss it.

J.Diaz   September 22nd, 2009 1955 GMT

I can't wait!

Denise   September 22nd, 2009 2001 GMT

As someone who remains awed at the scale and scope of Michael Jackson's multiplicity of talents, I am really looking forward to this film.

However, the mere thought of seeing any type of re-production of Michael Jackson's entertaining genius, saddens me afresh.

Truly, the WORLD has lost an incomparable, inimitable talent. Sadly, it appears only when such irrevocable loss occurs, do we really see the true worth of the Human Being we were lucky enough – for an all too brief time, to share the same earthly space with.

Rest in Peace, Michael.

BOBBIE T.   September 22nd, 2009 2001 GMT

I can't believe his gone. But GOD always want the Good people. He is only going to allow the devil to be cruel to someone for so long. Meaning everyone started being so cruel to him and judgemental, it wasn't right. His music, his moves, his video(s) and his kindness will never be forgotten. I can't wait to see his film and hoping that it will be released on DVD as well. I would like to have it with the rest of my memories of him. May GOD continue to hold him in his loving ARMS.

Beverley   September 22nd, 2009 2005 GMT

Michael Jackson was a perfectionist, he was one of the world's greatest entertainers. He worked hard at his music and dance.
We cannot fault him for that. Michael Jackson contributed to the poor and needy children of the world. Why people do not start to see the good in people and the good things they have done. Unfortunately Michael Jackson had an addition, but we cannot make that the end all of things. We all have Dramas in life we have to deal with how best we can. Look at the good in his life and thank God he left us this work (this film) so we can remember him. Think of the people whose life he made an impact on. I think this film will be a fantastic piece of art.

Carmen R   September 22nd, 2009 2006 GMT

Loved Michael for his "Human Nature" especially towards upliftment of children and his conciousness regarding the environment. His music is simply wonderful. You should listen to the lyrics of "Cry" and "Lost Children"

Triny   September 22nd, 2009 2007 GMT

I can't wait for the premier! I'm already and set to purchase tickets this weekend for the movie!

Without question this film will put to rest those who have doubted Michael could do the shows. A fan from Great Britain said it best....."if Tina Turner can do shows at 70 then Michael Jackson could've done them at 50."

For MJ's fans we will be filled with excitement and anticipation when this day comes and when we leave our hearts will be heavy. This is our beloved Michael whose star shined (and continues to shine) so brightly and no matter what negative things the media says about him it'll never change the what we feel for him......LOVE! He loved us and sacrifice so much for us and on 10/28 we're going to honor him once again!

Michael Jackson, the legendary King of Pop will ALWAYS rule the music world!!

dessa   September 22nd, 2009 2021 GMT

My 3 kids, ages 7, 10 and 17 and US cannot wait to watch this!
My youngest just had her costume bday garden party with 53 kids this wkend – Oh boy! some kids came dressed like MJ and everyone dancing to MJ's music ! What magnet this man had !

Denise   September 22nd, 2009 2025 GMT

I am very much looking forward to seeing this movie. Michael was a fabulous entertainer and we will never see someone like him again. I think he was a beautiful man inside and believe it or not outside as well. When you look at all of his pictures you could just see the sadness in his eyes. I hope and pray he is in a great place. Rest in peace Michael...........We all miss you.

clayton lyon   September 22nd, 2009 2026 GMT

As talented as he was and yes he thrilled the world with his god given talents, then he took those talents like so many others do and lost them to a world of addiction. The truth is Michael was addicted to drugs and lost his life because of it. It's always about choice and he made his, with his billions and lavish self centered life style he could and did anything he wanted including hiring doctors for his drug addiction. It's time to move on. Other greats have passed on since than and we're still talking Micael Jackson. Kinda sad, the world get's stuck in such a place.

John   September 22nd, 2009 2027 GMT

Isnt it enough already? How much more do we need of Michael Jackson. It's getting to be overkill. Everyone hated him a few years ago when they thought he was a pervert. Now all of a sudden we forget that happend. P.S. I dont think he was guilty, I think had a good heart.

Devin w   September 22nd, 2009 2028 GMT

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ted   September 22nd, 2009 2028 GMT

OMG I sooooooooooo can't wait!!!!

Onose Okhiria   September 22nd, 2009 2029 GMT

I can't stop expressing my love for Micheal Jackson and his family. Time isn't my friend right now, I wish tomorrow would be 27, october 2009. I see myself often compromising time and other things to search and listen to my friend's inspirational moves, songs, and words that twist human heart.

SAMUEL ELISHA   September 22nd, 2009 2030 GMT

I'M COUNTING ON THE PER SECOND OF THE HOURS FOR IT. THE EARTH HAS LOST ONE OF THE FINEST, CARING, TALENTED AND
ENERGETIC MAN.THE FILM WILL MAKE THE WRONG PEOPLE BELIVE THAT" THIS IS IT", THE TRUTH!. HE IS MY NUMBER ONE MUSICIAN IN THE WORLD. LONG LIVE THE KING OF POP!

OC   September 22nd, 2009 2030 GMT

I will not miss this for the world! I regret that I have not paid much attention to him when he was here. The most talented and the best entertainer in the world. There will never be another Michael Jackson.

Mirna   September 22nd, 2009 2038 GMT

He was pure magic! I'm sure this documentary will show his love, passion and talent for music and the joy he got sharing it with us!

a.y.harrison   September 22nd, 2009 2044 GMT

Yes I plan to see the This Is It movie and the documentary., We are talking about the King Of PoP. I am excited even though I'm still mourning, I believe this will help to start my healing process. Michael truly was a gift from God, people can say negative things if they want to, but the bottom line is that no one in history has ever given as much money to charity as Michael Jackson. So for all you haters , get over it, how much have you given to charity lately, probably nothing. Take a look at yourself in the mirror"""""""""""'.

Nitin   September 22nd, 2009 2046 GMT

First it was Elvis and now Jackson. 'This is it' should cement the icon of 80's music for decades to come. If Jackson were to be alive and performing the show, one could guess that the media would still be critical. In the end, Jackson's music speaks for itself.

Alessandra from Italy   September 22nd, 2009 2048 GMT

Of Course!! He was my life!! I'm looking forward to see what I was waiting for on July in London!! He will be the unique big singer of all music history!!! No one like him.. never!!! Hope to find the tickets!!!

Marina   September 22nd, 2009 2049 GMT

Michael always has been the sense of this world! The only real, pure and innocent angel! You are everything for me, Mike! I can`t wait to see the footage! I live only because of you! THE KING will live forever! Always and forever in my heart!

Nicole   September 22nd, 2009 2053 GMT

I will be there with my box of tissue in hand. I love you and miss you Michael. The greatest gift God has ever given. I'm stilling learning to live with this permanent hole in my heart. RIP King of love.

amber l.   September 22nd, 2009 2101 GMT

This is a man who was a drug user and child molester, and also clearly unhappy with his own skin color so severly that he bleached it and claimed a skin disease that for the people with vitaligo is no joking matter. why do we praise him? if this were any other person, he would have shunned by the public. Wake up people! he didn't and doesn't deserve our time or attention!

palebluedot   September 22nd, 2009 2112 GMT

I'm sorry he passed, but enogh is enough.Let him and his family rest.......all though some of the blame for this side show is the families fault. They don,t what us to forget him(which will never do.because ofhis vast works,)but where were they when he was growing up and facing all these problems which did not start overnight.

Danielle Cherubin   September 22nd, 2009 2119 GMT

Absouletly, I will go see it . Major inspiration to me and I would not miss it for the world. He is, was and always will be the King of Pop!

Mo Zilla   September 22nd, 2009 2120 GMT

Ooooh. I can't wait. I think I'll buy more than one ticket! I want to see the promoter AEG Live, Sony, MJ Enterprises - and anyone else with their hand in the cookie jar - make gazillions from this dead entertainer's final performance. It is just soooo coooollll.

Tommy Sayles   September 22nd, 2009 2142 GMT

I have always been a fan and supporter of Michael Jackson and have always believed in him and what he has done to help the sick, poor and dying children. I hope those critics and those who sought to destroy him and everything he stood for including those tabloids can rest easy at night. This film I am certain will once again show the World who he really was and what how he really tried to make a difference.

Ann   September 22nd, 2009 2200 GMT

There will never be another entertainer as talented and loved as Michael Jackson. I listen to Michael every day in my car, to work and from work. I miss him and will never forget him. Can't wait for the documentary to air. Rest In PEACE Michael and May GOD Bless your family and children. MUCH Thanks to Janet Jackson for her tribute to Michael on the VMA's. It was GREAT!

Ann   September 22nd, 2009 2209 GMT

Hope this will close the mouths of those that doubt and ridicule this Perfect Being and leave him alone to rest in peace. STOP the bashing of Michael and realize that he was a CARING and LOVING human being. NO ONE is PERFECT and those that judge will be judged, so be careful what you say about others, and look in the mirror at yourself...., quote "MAKE THAT CHANGE"..., unquote. We love you Michael and miss you. PEACE BE WITH YOU!

Chrisy   September 22nd, 2009 2227 GMT

Well I'm just hoping my city is one of the cities chosen because I will be really upset same with quite a few that have been calling the Silvercity in my area... I have never been able to travel to other countries to see his concerts (money especially) and a lot of people including me will be outraged... It is upsetting that they said that it would be worldwide but from the looks of it it won't really be it will be only select places... really stupid if you ask me... and they won't even tell us if it's going to be considered a special event or if it will be normal movie prices... Don't think they actually though about his fans just the money to be made because they would have it run longer and at every theater... just like every other movie/documentary... I'm getting really upset with this... I hope I don't have to wait for the dvd because it's not the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Donna M.   September 22nd, 2009 2230 GMT

are you nuts....with all the stuff going on in the world...i think i will spend my time more wisely and on greater concerns that a person that we have found out was more or less a drug addict. The world needs to become more focused on what is going on and not a stars in hollywood. Sorry folks my life does not revolve around celebs and how they are leading young people astray who follow their every move

Robert   September 22nd, 2009 2231 GMT

I have no desire to see this in any form. This is just a sad excuse of someone trying to cash in on his death.

CHRIS   September 22nd, 2009 2235 GMT

I am looking forward to the premier show, however details are a bit sketchy , for instance which cities, how much are tickets, which theaters, are there purchase limits , how many tickets will be available and how long will tickets be on sale. I hope it shows in my city.

Benry   September 22nd, 2009 2237 GMT

Absolutely! It is almost 3 months since his passing and I still can't believe it and in some way can't accept that but... reality is reality. I find myself watching his dvds night after night since his passing. I have this strong desire to keep him alive and watching him every night helps if only for just couple of hours. My heart aches in knowing that he is really gone. So, for "This Is It" to be coming out and knowing that it is indeed his last project makes it that much more special because we know he was doing this for all his fans. It is his last gift to us. I hope this will also be out in DVD. It would be much cherished in owning one. Michael Jackson is truly the one and only true legend that ever lived. No one can or ever will be able to hold his title. I miss him dearly...

Observer   September 22nd, 2009 2243 GMT

Michael’s legacy is the brilliant showmanship, musicality and performance skills he displayed when he was alive. This documentary will be followed by other documentaries, memorabilia, family concerts and “expose” novels produced by Sony, AEG, the Jackson family and anyone else who may have had the remotest contact with him during his lifetime and now salivate at the thought of ripping profitable morsels off the carcass of his legacy.

The Jackson family members are hard to recognize these days with their heads so deeply sunk into the trough of Michael’s leftovers and their mouths obscenely snapping at the bait being dangled by Corporate sponsors. As for Michael being one of the most “caring” people in the world his generosity seemed inspired by his myopic fascination with young children a predilection that also gave rise to the darker side of his legacy. His “caring” did not extend to the hundreds of creditors who apparently lost millions when he refused to pay them for the services they provided despite his estimated $500 million pool of resources. A pool that he swam in daily to exercise his obsessive self indulgences.

He was a truly magnificent, incomparable performer but the attempts to deify him in his after life are nothing more than the efforts of self ordained high priests to create false idol worship while they pass around the collection tray.

SJ   September 22nd, 2009 2245 GMT

i love this Guy.... one of the best entertainer of all times.....i love his music and of course his dancing...... i cant wait to see this film...... love you Michael!!! where can we get the ticket?

Eana   September 22nd, 2009 2301 GMT

Funny-for such a big deal, it's hilarious that NO ONE in my entire city at ANY movie theatre knows whether they're going to have this show or not! I've called them all, so I can make plans about getting tickets, etc. AND IT SEEMS TO BE COMPLETELY "UP IN THE AIR"-still, with only 5 days until tickets go on sale.

Who the heck is overseeing this? AND WHY CAN'T MICHAEL'S FANS GET ANY CONCRETE DETAILS???????????

As much as Michael might love that all of his hard work planning the THIS IS IT shows won't be completely lost, he would NOT be happy that his fans can't find anything out!

connie ny   September 22nd, 2009 2301 GMT

i will see the movie .im a great fan im 43 so i grue up with michael jackson i have all his cds and posters my kids love his music .we will never forgit him and wene his new music comes out .im getting theme.he had a heart .god bless his kids.

Glen0330   September 22nd, 2009 2305 GMT

Am I going to see this "We Are Only Doing It For The Money And We KNOW That Hundreds Of Thousands of Screaming Fans Will Fork Over Money To See This Idiotic Film And ANYTHING With The Name Michael Jackson On It That The Money Hungry Jackson Family Is Allowing To Be Released So Early After His Death" ???? Not with even free tickets. Is the general public so blind to see that the family is doing all these concerts/film/memorabilia/CDs just to make money to throw into the trust to get money to settle all of his debts for his OUTLANDISH spending and bad investments? If all of this were happening at a spaced out time over the years, maybe then it would all be "alright", but not when BAM here it is, spend your money for us. He was the family's bread and butter, and now that income is no longer coming in.

It is a sad society that is buying into all this hoopla and spending their money on all this trash. Money is tight and what's this stuff going to be worth in the future anyway? Not a good sound investment.

nathan r   September 22nd, 2009 2310 GMT

wow i cant wait to see this movie i really cant it will be amazing to watch Michael Jackson preform i cant wait to watch smooth criminal rehersal!!

denise gomez   September 22nd, 2009 2335 GMT

I really want to watch this because i love michael so much and i think this will be a very cool experiment as if i were watching one of his concerts, i would love it if his babies watched this film.

2damnfunny   September 22nd, 2009 2349 GMT

I have to see this....long live the King!!!!

Chris R   September 22nd, 2009 2356 GMT

No matter if you like Michael Jackson's work, there's no room for doubt that he had talent. This footage could be his finest hour. Being in the entertainment industry, I can say I've never seen a concert set up like his THIS IS IT concert. Without a doubt, this was gonna be an AMAZING show with so many surpries! Those who say he couldn't handle 50 dayes are crazy. Tina Turner just completed almost that many on her last tour last year. She was 70! The Rolling Stones are all DEAD and still selling out arena's. This documentary is gonna rock! He was and always will be the KING OF POP! Long Live The King!

Lonne T.   September 22nd, 2009 2359 GMT

It is going to be wonderful to see Michael doing what he does best, entertain. Cannot wait to see him, I am in alot of anticipation...

JaNiece   September 23rd, 2009 006 GMT

Can not wait to see this doc., and hopefully they put it out on dvd so i can buy it.

MaryRM   September 23rd, 2009 015 GMT

I am still hoping/expecting this to go longer than 2 weeks – that is not nearly enough time to allow for all fans to see the documentary even once, let alone multiple times which many will want to do.

I am not confident that I will be able to secure tickets in a large city like Toronto where an impromptu Michael tribute sprang up on Canada Day. The demand will be too great and the tickets will be gone before I can secure them

Pleasure   September 23rd, 2009 028 GMT

I'm looking forward to this film as well. If the trailer is anything to go by, to see the MJ energy in action again should be breath taking! Have a look:

I am looking forward to seeing this film too. Michael is one of the best entertainers of all times. Very few entertainers have been able to reach his iconic status. He touched many lives all over the world with his lycrics, dance, style and love. No one is perfect and It isnt' a crime to be different. He was found not guilty for alleged crimes that he did not commit. They raided his home while he was out of the country and found nothing. Conspiracy? We'll never know. Michael will always be with us through his music forever.

So looking forward to watching This Is It documentary...counting down the days to when we can see MJ dance again and to catch a glimpse of what he was creating for his tour. He was an amazing artist and THE ICON of my generation. His music bled with his vulnerability and heart...he made you believe he meant everything he was singing...and that can be so powerful when he sang of global unity or making pleas to save the enviorment or the children of the world or most of all his lonliness. His music could grab a hold of your heart if you let it...and as if that wasn't enough he was a mesmerizing dancer. He gave all he had to every performance and his audience for fleeting moments had his soul.

Mimi from GUATEMALA   September 23rd, 2009 151 GMT

What about Central America.
When are we see the film?
Could anyone answer me?
Thank you

SRM sally   September 23rd, 2009 153 GMT

Yes of course we would love to see that film together with my family. MJ will always be in our hearts no matter what his detractors say and think of him.

Psuedonym   September 23rd, 2009 159 GMT

I can't wait for the film, but I hope that there's a real emphasis on the music and the dancing and the show, rather than on how sad it is that he's dead now. Everyone already knows that. I want to see his last ideas, not necessarily his last days.

Teri   September 23rd, 2009 208 GMT

I wouldn't miss it for the world.......Never has there been anyone like Michael Jackson and there never will be again. He was a force that will not come in my life time again. My happy moment is the fact that people are finally seeing MJ for the good person he was instead of that media junk. God rest his soul and long live the King of Pop.

jazzybema   September 23rd, 2009 212 GMT

how many of MJ's real fans can afford to go to one of these cities to see this? i think it is very unfair and it should be shown in all cities fir limited engagements. long live his gentle soul and long live the King of Pop!

Teresa Barb   September 23rd, 2009 216 GMT

I am waiting on the edge of my seat for this. I was and still am a big fan of Michael Jackson he was my idol always. he was the strongest man, mind and body. he fought through thick and thin and I was always so proud of how he handled things. Love you more!

loida   September 23rd, 2009 220 GMT

I will go see it. It is the least we can do to honour his last achievment.
He deserves for it to be seen and applauded.

Sara B.   September 23rd, 2009 301 GMT

I truly love Michael Jackson. He was the greatest entertainer of all time and he will always be loved. His music was revolutionary and will always live forever. He was talented, kind, and warm hearted. The world will never experience an legend like Michael Jackson. He will always have a place in my heart. I love Michael! My heart is so sad.
Three months and I still can't believe he is gone.

RIP Michael <3 I Love you more

Jen-   September 23rd, 2009 350 GMT

It's terrible how much money is made on the death of a human being. My heart goes out to those children.

Maria   September 23rd, 2009 352 GMT

I cant wait to see it. I hope it comes to Australia soon!!

Dexempo   September 23rd, 2009 355 GMT

I cant´wait to see it too but unfortunatly, city I live in will hardly be one of those 25 so I hope it will be released on DVD soon. RIP MJ The King of Pop. Btw the trailer for this movie is superb.

Lili   September 23rd, 2009 356 GMT

We cannot wait to see the documentary! MJ was a class act with an amazing talent for sending his message of love and peace throughout the world. He reached millions worldwide, something presidents or heads of state were never able to do. He brought people of many different background and races together with his music. He was gift from God and we miss him so much! We Love You MJ and you will always be in our hearts!!

Costech   September 23rd, 2009 440 GMT

ofcourse i will see it. what kind of a question is that?

MJ was the greatest legend the world has ever seen or ever will. He deserves the greatest tribute, greatest doc, greatest award for everything that he stands for. He was the last of the great entertainers, noone can replicate what he did and the influence he brought about amongst younger artists, world issues like the depletion of the environment, children's aid and ofcourse music and dance.

Matthew   September 23rd, 2009 452 GMT

Well i think the Doc did not do what he was asked to do but rather kill MJ for us and if i was to see him face to face i would not let him go alive like what he did to poor MJ.....

elaine   September 23rd, 2009 452 GMT

Peggy Wong   September 23rd, 2009 518 GMT

Really looking forward to watching this concert. I believe that Michael had put his whole heart in rehearsing and refining his concert for us, his fans, and I'm really really eager to see his electrifying performance again. I love him forever!

Diane N.   September 23rd, 2009 625 GMT

Still cannot believe that Michael is gone, I hope we can let his SOUL rest in peace, instead of COOKING UP more money making ventures. Michael was in the class of HIS OWN.

May HISSoul Rest In Peace.

Debbie   September 23rd, 2009 751 GMT

I can not wait to see this film. Long live the King of Pop. You will always be in our hearts.

Derin   September 23rd, 2009 803 GMT

I will very much love to see the film to have a feel of the master of art at work. Most import aspect of his live is his geniue love for people and giving_it is a rare quality not common.

Portia Santo Domingo   September 23rd, 2009 805 GMT

Yes surely I will not miss this movie. Michael's music will live forever. His genius is unparalleled. He was a kind and gentle soul, but sadly misunderstood. Am glad he had a loving family and children to give him happiness. I pray for his eternal peace. Long live his music!

Beauprez Dalida, Belgium   September 23rd, 2009 940 GMT

Will that be released on DVD, because I live in Belgium and I saw that our country is not on the list. Michael Jackson was and will be the greatest artist in the world. No one can ever replace HIM, he was such a warm and carrying person for the whole human race !!!

I hope that justice will be done !!!

Take good care of his kids.

Love you all and God bless you all.

Yes I will.....but I don't know but I wish to see that documentary in Montreal.

TY

Bella0911   September 23rd, 2009 1037 GMT

You can believe this or not but there will be another MJ! Maybe not in our time, but in another generation, only our God know what time when their will be another MJ. But, right now we have the ONLY MJ. I am looking forward to seeing this film. MJ was so gifted and talented, that this was taped at such an important time in his life. He will be miss, but remember I stated their will be another MJ, maybe 10 or 20 years from now. Peace and Blessings.

Bella0911   September 23rd, 2009 1049 GMT

Thank you Beenish Khokar, in your statement, September 22, 2009 on MJ was a human being. People will read this and think about what you stated. I am reading "Unmasked" I had to put the book down and come back from wiping the tears in my eyes, oh, how MJ was so hurt. But, your information is so true. You know it is one thing to buy a magazine, book, anything on MJ, but you have to read and read between the lines, to really understandy that MIKE was a human being. Once again thank you for this powerful statement. Peace and Blessings.

Felicia   September 23rd, 2009 1148 GMT

i will go watch it. i agree with Patty. I hope MJ's kids get the $$$ from this documentary

anna ferris   September 23rd, 2009 1319 GMT

where can I get the tickets? also.....what if I cannot get the tickets? where can I see it later? where?

Tommy Sayles   September 23rd, 2009 1321 GMT

Beenish Khokhar Thank you so much, You know I think so many people who judged him never took the time to know who he really was, and what he did. I remember being in the 3rd grade and Thriller was being released I would follow Michael for the rest of his life then. I never doubted him for one second. I have never been so sad and depressed I listen to his music everyday. He will live on his legacy will forever be remembered. I am just sad I never got the chance to have met the closest thing to Jesus that walked the Earth. If your on facebook look me up. by my name sometime.

Maureen (UK)   September 23rd, 2009 1321 GMT

Have you read The Michael Jackson Conspiracy by Aphrodite Jones ?

Dear Larry,
All the fans would love to see an interview with Lawyer Tom Mesereau & Aphrodite Jones.
Please interview them, your ratings will go through the roof !

Tommy Sayles   September 23rd, 2009 1349 GMT

anna ferris don't worry tickets will go on sale September 27th and should you not be able to get tickets Sony has announced they will be selling a dvd of the film shortly after.

Ann   September 24th, 2009 2311 GMT

Reading the comments that Donna M and K MAN has written, sounds like two haters that can't recognize talent and are evil people. Get a life you two, we all know that Michael was innocent of those molestation charges and the number one accuser has come on the internet to confess that he lied about Michael molesting him..., and we all know who I am talking about, so get a life DONNA M and K MAN.
HATERS!

Dave Md   October 24th, 2009 149 GMT

Way to lash out irrationally, Ann. You just joined the ranks of the haters, yourself. Donna M and K Man have their opinions and they are entitled to them.

Neither of them said anything whatsoever about Michael's talent, so what was the "can't recognize talent" comment based on? And "evil people"? If you want to refute their judgments of Michael, it would be far more effective to use facts and rational arguments about the molestation charges and his drug use, rather than spitting insults at them.

Valerie Cenci   October 25th, 2009 1603 GMT

anxiously waiting to see the documentary in Montreal. still haven't accepted his death. at times i cry and people around don't understand how i feel.
i tell them it is just because you don't know him the way i do.

Teresa   October 26th, 2009 2201 GMT

I also cry everyday For MJ, He was such a sweet person and mind you I didn't know him personally but, from following him through the years, I can vouch for that. He wouldn't of harmed any body . People just don't understand how I feel. I am having such a hard time excepting that he is not with us any more.

Michael (My Heart) I love you more, Rest in peace! I pray you are in a better place.

This world abused him enough! They are still trying to but the only consolation I get is that they can't touch him now! Bless his soul!

Valerie Cenci   October 27th, 2009 1227 GMT

i will watch it over and over again. can't get enough. there will never be anoher michael jackson ever. one more thing i wish they could call him by his birth name michael jackson and not jacko anymore.

idiots to those that do
