Wherever they go, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are guaranteed to generate a media frenzy, but it was vintage rocker Mick Jagger who generated one of the biggest cheers of the night when he came on present the best director award.

The Rolling Stone told the audience that he was attending the ceremony in his capacity as the founder member of MREP - "The Movie Star and Rock Star Exchange Program."

Under this program, he said, Sir Ben Kingsley was singing the Stone's hit "Brown Sugar" at the Grammy Awards (also on Sunday), Sir Anthony Hopkins was in the recording studio with Amy Winehouse, Dame Judy Dench was busy trashing hotel rooms and next week Brad Pitt and the whole Pitt family would be performing in "The Sound of Music."

Brad and Angelina reportedly took the whole thing with good humor, even if both nominees (Brad for Leading Actor for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and Supporting Actor for "Burn After Reading" and Angelina for Leading Actress in "Changeling") returned home empty-handed.

Yep, Sir Mick's the man. He can sing, used to be an actor and has now added comedian to his list of talents. It was a funny statement and I'm glad Brad and Angie took it in the good humor it was intended. Roll on Academy Awards.

Sure Pitt took it as a laugh because this was an insult to the Von Trapp family. Those kids were disciplined and well behaved....far cry from the Pitt kids.

zen, you know nothing about their kids or how disciplined they are. shame on you for judging them.

I was there and it was great.

Everyone was happy.

Mick only had 2 cups of coffee that day.

No really.

You got to see it with humor... we've all got to laugh at ourselves sometimes. Us humans do some pretty funny stuff...

I think it's great. If you have ever seen Brad or Angelina in interviews, you would know that they both have a great sense of humor and took it that way.

Everytime I have seen the Pitt-Jolie kids, they were all well behaved.
